Hypoxia training, also known as apparatus-assisted altitude training, is a method in which you breathe air with a reduced oxygen concentration, similar to higher mountain altitudes.

In 2019, the Nobel Prize in Medicine was awarded to two American researchers and one British researcher for discovering the molecular mechanisms by which cells sense oxygen levels and adapt to them. The reduced oxygen content of mountain air triggers exactly these adaptive responses in the body.

One key reaction: the mitochondria, the power plants of our cells, are trained and regenerated, improving the production of ATP, the fuel every cell depends on. With advancing age, but also through stress, environmental factors or an unbalanced diet, mitochondria become damaged and produce less ATP. The result is exhaustion, low energy and, over time, an increased risk of chronic disease.

Mitovit hypoxia training addresses exactly this: it triggers health-promoting mechanisms that help the mitochondria repair and regenerate themselves, laying the groundwork for sufficient energy production and more vitality in everyday life.
